This vision was born from Barbara Delacroix, a relentless and ambitious researcher with three master's degrees and a doctorate, specialist in scientific methodology, driven by an insatiable quest for knowledge and a constant desire to accelerate the pace of discovery.

In 2019, Barbara's path crossed with Marvin Sant, a senior developer specializing in Big Data at Webedia. By chance, they proved to be a perfect match: both skilled in R&D, Marvin on the code side, Barbara on the research side.
The synergy was immediate. They joined forces to bring innovation to life.

The Genesis of Devana AI
From their collaboration emerged the first algorithm for real-time reading and understanding of scientific news. This experimentation marked the starting point of Devana AI in 2021, software for orchestrating artificial intelligence that would become, in just a few years, a European pioneer in sovereign AI.

We're not looking to create an AI that replaces humans: we're building an intelligent co-pilot that supports knowledge production while enhancing capabilities.

Instrumental Genesis & Continuous Co-Design
Design doesn't stop at launch. When users adopt an instrument, their practices evolve, and so does the tool. We nurture this loop: our developmental design methodology ensures Devana co-evolves with the people who use it.
Instrumentation
Users shape their practices through interaction with the tool. Every exchange evolves how they work.
Instrumentalization
The tool evolves in return, shaped by how users actually use it. A virtuous feedback loop.
Continuous Co-Design
Our teams identify new patterns daily through participative design. Innovation becomes perpetual evolution.
Devana acts as a mediating instrument (inducer) between AI models and users across three dimensions. This developmental design methodology ensures the product co-evolves with its users.

Six months before the democratization of generative AI, Devana patented a complete hybrid RAG orchestration process: real-time contextual grounding, coordination of specialized models, and knowledge production copiloting. An anteriority validated by the French Patent Office (INPI) that underpins our entire sovereign architecture.

R&D begins in the mountains of Ariège. Barbara meets Marvin Sant. Research meets code. The pivot to Deeptech starts on the lands of Ariège, where innovation meets nature.
